Stuff that's too long for my AIM profile

Not self-indulgent in the least.

So for the very first time I caught a nasty virus from a guy. Thanks, David, for giving me the buddypicture.net virus!! I guess I'm the loser for clicking the link though. I am curious to a fault.

So... to get rid of it, I searched my computer for files that had a "created date" withing the past 2 days, since I knew more or less when I had contracted the disease. This wouldn't work for someone who does a lot of computer work... for me the list was about 70 files long. Ony one .exe file in the whole list. Pretty easy to spot it... av.exe. The little fucker!

So then I tried to delete it, but it said the program was running. Aha! I went to task manager, and ended the program under the process tab. Then I could delete the file and empty my recycle bin.

I know this really isn't anything to brag about... it's a simple thing to do, but this program has been nipping at my butt for the past 2 days, and all my friends are impossibly computer savvy, so anything I can do to establish my own techie self-sufficiency is major. Go me!

I have a strange obsession. I go to girlshop every day (or, at least almost every day) ad look to see what has been newly updated. I love girlshop. It's like having an independent designer boutique in your own house.

Right now I really like the loop boutique bags. They're ripstop and pleather, and way cuter than the L.A.M.B. LeSportsacs that Gwen Stefani designed. Extremely affordable, too. I had high hopes for the L.A.M.B. line, but it's all kinda ugly and not very wearable.
I think it's always better to stand up for yourself in an argument, even if it means really pissing the other person off. Maybe they'll stay mad at you forever, but they will probably cool off and have a begrudging respect for you. Sometimes this kind of argument can actually improve a friendship. The other possibility is for you to back down and agree all the time, which will make things more comfortable in the short run, but will result in the other person losing respect for you.

I think having someone mad at you, even if it is forever, is better than having them lose respect for you. I can deal with someone being angry with me and doing stuff to try and piss me off. But once someone loses respect for you, there really isn't any going back.
